The arrival sequence
The first thirty metres of a property set the expectation for everything after. Clean, well-edged stone bands beside the drop-off do more here than complex planting, and they survive constant foot traffic better.
Water and spa areas
Dark polished stone under moving water is the single highest-impact use of decorative pebble in hospitality. In spa gardens, tumbled stone underfoot in transition zones adds a tactile element guests remember.
Keeping the property coherent
Limit the palette to two stone colours across the whole site. Properties that use a different stone in each zone end up looking assembled rather than designed.
