A city that landscapes upward, not outward
Mumbai's geography leaves very little room for the kind of sprawling ground-level garden common in Delhi's farmhouse belt or Pune's villa colonies. Almost all decorative stone demand here concentrates on podium gardens sitting above parking levels, terrace decks, and balcony planters — spaces measured in square feet rather than acres, where the finish quality of the stone matters more than the sheer volume ordered. A high-rise in the western suburbs or a redevelopment project in the eastern suburbs might need only a modest total quantity of pebbles, but expects a consistently polished, well-graded product because the space is small enough that every stone is noticed.
