Which grades are used in a standard filter bed?

Layer schedules differ by system. A common arrangement runs from coarse stone at the base to fine grades at the top. Follow the schedule issued by your plant designer and send it to us for quoting.

Is the material washed before dispatch?

Tell us it is for filtration when you enquire so that washed stock is quoted rather than general landscaping material.

Filtration pebbles are specified by grading, not by appearance. In a typical filter bed, coarse stone forms the support layer above the underdrain, with progressively finer layers above it so that filtered water passes through without the media migrating.
