A coastal market shaped by salt air
Bhavnagar sits close to the Gulf of Khambhat, and its demand for decorative stone comes from three fairly distinct groups: coastal bungalow owners in and around Kalvibid and Ruvapari, offices and yards connected to the ship-breaking industry at Alang, and institutional grounds including hospitals and educational campuses across the city. Each of these has slightly different priorities, but salt exposure is a common thread that affects material choice across all three.
