Two markets in one town
Alwar's position between Jaipur and the National Capital Region gives it an unusual mix of buyers. On one side are local Alwar households and businesses landscaping in the ordinary way; on the other are weekend-home and farmhouse owners from Delhi and Gurugram who have bought land around Alwar and want it landscaped to a city standard despite the site being some distance from where they live day to day. This second group often plans remotely, communicating mostly by phone and WhatsApp with a caretaker or contractor on the ground handling the actual laying.
The district's hot, arid stretches mean stone chosen for courtyards and open farmhouse grounds benefits from being on the lighter side, since pale colours stay noticeably cooler underfoot through summer than darker grades laid across the same open area.
